No Frontex Referendum

Violence, misery and death have become everyday life at Europe’s external borders. Refugees and migrants are disenfranchised, beaten and deported. As the European border and coast guard, Frontex is partly responsible. Frontex is not transparent. Frontex looks the other way. Frontex is complicit in human rights abuses. Despite this, Frontex is being massively expandedl all across Europe.

On May 15, a vote will be held on whether Switzerland will participate in this expansion of Frontex. We say YES to freedom of movement for all and NO to Frontex.

We demand:

➊ NO to the Switzerland’s support of Frontex with finances and personnel!
➋ YES to freedom of movement for all!
➌ Abolishing Frontex as a symbol of the isolationist, violent migration policy!
➍ Stop the criminalisation of migration to Europe and the associated militarisation of the borders!
➎ Enabling safe migration instead of preventing it violently!
